About Me

Hi, I’m Cassie. Thanks for visiting! Here’s a little about me:

I am a woman of many hats, and thankfully, I enjoy all of them:
Wife: I am blessed with an awesome husband who is the perfect complement to me. He is excellent at all things mathematical, charming with words, a chivalrous gentleman, and helps me lighten up and see the humor in every day situations. I could not have asked for a better provider for our family. I refer to him on the blog as “the hubs” or sometimes, “my hubby”.
Mom: We have 3 very spirited chillens age 6 & under:
Our eldest girl, A (6) who is very creative, smart, and helpful.
Our middle ‘brother sandwich’, B (3) who is funny, smart, and affectionate.
Our youngest girl, C (2) who is sweet, strong-willed, and independent.
It is frequently loud in our house when the kids are at play. I may get frustrated or impatient some days, but they really are the best kids. Many days I am left asking God, “What did I do to deserve such loving, helpful, understanding kids?”
Waitress Extraordinaire: My out of home job 3 nights a week. Serving people, accommodating particular requests, socializing, extending hospitality. I enjoy providing extra income for our family!
Prayer & Pastoral Team: Through our church and school community, I accept prayer requests, coordinate care, and one of my favorite things: praying over cards for people going through difficult situations. I am constantly blown away by what God has to say to His people to comfort them. And honored to be a little link in the process.
Family (wo)man: I am learning how to build better, longer-lasting relationships with the people in my different circles. I love people and learning how to love them better – especially through quality conversation over coffee, tea, or wine!
Natural Momma: (*NEW!*) I am slowly leaning toward more natural solutions to my family’s healthcare needs, cleaning dilemmas, personal care, and sleep patterns. I am thoroughly enjoying this journey exploring Essential Oils! You can view the ones I use here. I’ve always loved the verse from 3 John 1:2 – “Beloved, I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” I believe as we seek first His kingdom, health is one of the things that is added to us: as our soul is prospering, so does our health. I might have a closet dream of living out on the open land, harvesting our own food and enjoying the work of our hands. Maybe someday. 😉

All in all, I’m just an imperfect lady doing my best to receive all God has for me so I can give to others out of abundance. Though I’ve been called a Super Mom, I never feel like one. I want to contest the seemingly perfect lives we present on social media and Pinterest with the sometimes messy stories about family, raising kids, and trying to honor God in all I do.  I try to embrace and learn from my daily adventures, struggles, and victories associated with pursuing the Proverbs 31 woman!

Cassie was raised in a faithful, religious family which gave her a great foundation for belief and strong sense of community. Family is important to her – both building relationships with current family, and embracing the traditions of her Irish and Italian heritage.
Cassie attended Northern Illinois University’s School of Music pursuing a degree in Music Education with an English minor. After 3 semesters and her husband proposing, she left school to build a business with him. They were married in 2006 and have 3 children together. They’ve discovered that marriage is not easy, but it IS well worth the effort. She is a SAHM by day, waitress by night.
In what free time she can find, she loves to read, write, pray, sing, and study the Word.

I'd love to hear what you think!
